Birthday Parties at Oliver Woods
To book a room or a room and gym for a birthday party, or to check availability, please complete and submit a Facility Rental Request Form .
Be sure to include your preferred date(s), start and end times, and the title of your event (for example, Lily's 8th Birthday). In the comments section, include any additional dates that could work for you, along with any special requests or questions.
To check gym availability, visit Oliver Woods and select the gymnasium you wish to inquire about. You can then browse available dates for Gym 1 and Gym 2. Blank spaces indicate unavailable times.
Room Rentals
Your booking time should include setup, event hosting, and cleanup. This includes:
- Setting up tables and chairs
- Decorating
- Food and gift preparation
- Hosting the event
- Cleanup and takedown
Tables and chairs must be returned to the storage cupboard after use. Tables must be wiped clean before they are stacked away. A cleaning caddy will be provided, and any floor spills must be cleaned or dry mopped before leaving.
Gym Rentals
Gym bookings must include the full duration of your activity, including equipment setup and takedown. The following equipment is included with every gym rental:
- Large bin of miscellaneous sports balls
- Floor hockey nets
- Assorted floor hockey sticks
- Volleyball nets
- Badminton nets (participants must bring their own rackets or paddles)
- Preschool-sized basketball net
- Slide
Additional equipment is available for an extra charge of $10.50 per equipment lot:
- Large foam building blocks
- Seated scooters
We do not offer facilitated birthday parties.
Important Gym Rules
- Personal floor hockey sticks are not permitted.
- Inflatables such as bouncy castles are not permitted.
- Food and drinks are not permitted in the gym.
- Piñatas are not permitted.
- Only clean, non-marking shoes are allowed in the gym.

* Registered non-profit organizations may qualify for discounted rates. Please inquire when booking.
Prices effective September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026. GST not included.
