Celebrate World Rivers Day in Nanaimo

Summary

The last Sunday of September is Rivers Day, a day to celebrate the world's waterways and their importance to all life on earth. This year, the City of Nanaimo, Nanaimo Area Land Trust (NALT) and Nanaimo River Watershed Round Table are pleased to host a number of tours and activities both before and on Rivers Day, September 25.

Activities for Rivers Day include an interpretive side channel walk, live music by local bands, community information and interactive booths, a salmon BBQ hosted by NALT and tours hosted by Nanaimo River Watershed Roundtable on Friday, September 23 and Sunday, September 25 (pre-registration required).
