Temporary closures for Westwood dog off-leash area

Summary

Starting February 1, the dog-off leash area in Westwood Lake Park will be closed during working hours while BC Hydro crews perform powerline maintenance. Crews will be working between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Those wishing to use the area are permitted to do so outside of the mentioned working hours.

The project is expected to be completed by March 31.

Key Points

  • BC Hydro will be replacing the wooden poles from the Jinglepot Sub-station located on Jinglepot Road and East Wellington Road to Harewood Mines Road near Lincoln Road. The work is expected to start Monday, February 1 and complete by March 31.
