Update - permanent City Manager selection process underway

Summary

Steps to permanently fill Nanaimo's City Manager position continue. Council has directed staff to place a position advertisement on CivicInfo, the Municipal Information Network and the City's website for a period ending January 29th. Following the closing of the posting, a shortlist of candidates will be created by the City Manager Hiring Committee and invited to an interview. Once the Committee has determined its top candidate, reference checks will be conducted by the City's Director of Human Resources, with all details being reported back to the Committee.
