Nanaimo Votes: Advance voting for municipal election begins October 7

Advance voting opportunities available October 7 and 14; voters can also explore locations using an online voting map

Summary

Eligible electors are encouraged to make a plan to vote in the 2026 General Local Election. Advance voting opportunities will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the Beban Park Social Centre, located at 2300 Bowen Road, with voting available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both days.

On General Voting Day, Oct. 17, eligible electors can vote at any of these voting locations, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

  • Chase River Elementary School, 1503 Cranberry Avenue

  • Nanaimo District Secondary School, 355 Wakesiah Avenue
  • Protection Island Fire Hall, 26 Pirates Lane (10:00 am to 6:00 pm only)
  • Randerson Ridge Elementary School, 6021 Nelson Road
  • Uplands Park Elementary School, 3821 Stronach Drive
  • Wellington Secondary School, 3135 Mexicana Road
