Dog owners reminded to renew licences for 2026

With a new year underway, the City of Nanaimo reminds pet owners to renew their dog's licence. Licence fees vary depending on whether a dog has been sterilized (spayed or neutered) and a 16 per cent discount applies for renewals made on or before February 28 of the licencing year.

Dog licences can be purchased and renewed at the City of Nanaimo's Services and Resource Centre (411 Dunsmuir Street) and the Nanaimo Animal Shelter (1260 Nanaimo Lakes Road) and on the City's website.
