October offers Spooky Swims and Thanksgiving activities

Summary
For those of you looking for some indoor fun on Holiday Monday, October 14, head to the rink or the pool where Parks, Recreation and Culture have two everyone welcome activities planned. Swimming is available from 12:00-4:00 pm at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre and skating from 1:00-3:00 pm at Frank Crane Arena.
This Halloween, join the City of Nanaimo for spooky swimming fun. On October 18, the Halloween Dive-In Movie event will take place at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre from 7-9 pm. This year, the movie COCO will play and popcorn will be served in the Jack Little room from 7:00-8:30 pm and those who wish to swim before, during or after the movie can create their own time line of fun.
On Friday, October 25, Beban Park Pool will host the annual Halloween Howl pool party. Jump in between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm! The pool will be transformed into a spooky setting with a haunted water slide tower, pumpkins in the pool, snakes in the lazy river, coloured water, water balloon toss, water running mats, face painting, aqua jousting and prizes!
