Popular free oral history event winds up on Tuesday October 30, 2018

This popular free oral history event will wind up the October 2018 series on Tuesday October 30, 2018.

Please join us at the Nanaimo Rugby Club (6700 Dover Road) from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for the last night of our October series (October 30), featuring three speakers sharing stories about their personal history and about the history of Vancouver Island. Everyone is welcome to attend.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for people to come out and enjoy an entertaining evening at no cost,” said John Horn, Social Planner, “A great thing about this series is we hear some really interesting stories and get to learn more about residents of our community and our shared history."

The Living History speaker series exclusively features local residents. If you would like to be a speaker at a future series or need more information about the events, please contact Community & Cultural Planning at 250-755-4483.

The Living History Speaker Series, held in the Spring and fall each year since 2016, promotes Nanaimo's cultural vitality and community wellness by fostering social connectedness and is supported by the City of Nanaimo and Seniors Connect, with funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
