Westwood Lake has re-opened for swimming

Summary

Island Health informed the City of Nanaimo that E.coli levels at Westwood Lake have dropped below the accepted level and is safe for swimming. The advisory has been lifted based on these two test results. As a result the City of Nanaimo will reopen Westwood lake for swimming and other water activities.

Regular water testing will continue and any updates will be provided to the public as test results are received.
