Beban pool & weight room re-open September 5

Summary

With annual maintenance complete, Beban Park pool and weight room will re-open Tuesday, September 5.

Work done in the pool this year includes replacing cracked tiles, cleaning and replacing water in all tanks, resealing expansion joints, and servicing the pool's circulating pumps and heat exchangers. The weight room was also thoroughly cleaned and all equipment was inspected.

Beban Park pool and weight room will reopen Tuesday, September 5 with extended hours for the duration of the maintenance shutdown at Nanaimo Aquatic Centre.
A reminder that all City facilities will be closed on Monday, September 4 for Labour Day; however, lifeguards will be on duty at Westwood Lake from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.
Nanaimo Aquatic Centre will close for annual maintenance from September 5 through to September 24.
