Nanaimo Structure Fire Fatality

One person succumbed to early morning structure fire

Summary

Shortly after 5:00 this morning, Nanaimo Fire Rescue crews responded to a structure fire in a mobile home at Petroglyph Mobile Home Park on Chase River Road. Upon arrival, the mobile home was fully involved in fire. Tragically, one adult did not escape, and succumbed to the fire.

RCMP and fire investigators are on the scene and will work together with the Coroner to conduct the investigation.
