Chinese Memorial Gardens Park

We always want to keep our information up to date. If you see any information we're missing, let us know at

This Memorial Garden, acquired in 1966, is dedicated to the early Chinese pioneers. It was created as a centennial year project by the Nanaimo Chinese Community with the aid of public grants and donations.

The garden setting is picturesque, and is often used as a backdrop for family portraits. Sit under the pagoda and enjoy a view of the Newcastle Chanel.
