Building Inspections

The Building Inspections Section is responsible for the enforcement of the British Columbia Building Code and applicable City bylaws within the City of Nanaimo, most often through the issuance of building permits.

Building Inspections works closely with Permit Centre staff in the processing of building permit applications and related information, as well as other City sections, primarily Community Development staff.
