City of Nanaimo receives award for Annual Financial Reporting

Summary

The City of Nanaimo has received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021. Also known as the Annual Report Highlights document, the Popular Annual Financial Report is a condensed version of a given year's annual report.

In order to be eligible for the award, a government must publish a highlights document, whose contents conform to program standards of creativity, presentation, understandability and reader appeal.
