Project Description

  • Replacing 925m of trunk sanitary sewer pipe
  • Upgrading and widening over 1km of trailway to 4m where possible
  • Installing lighting to improve safety and increase utilization
  • Bank stabilization of steep slopes to protect the trailway and sewer utility.

General Considerations

  • Typical hours of work for this project will be Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • The entrance to Bowen Centre (opposite Pine Street) will be one way in only. All vehicles must exist via Wall Street as the contractor will be occupying the upper parking lot.
  • Watch for trucks and heavy equipment entering and exiting Bowen Road; traffic control will be in place to maintain safety.
  • The disc golf course will remain open until September when it will be closed for a period of 6 weeks to replace the trailway and install lighting.
  • If you live in the area and have young children, please advise them of the dangers of construction and the limited visibility of heavy equipment and trucks
  • Be aware of posted signage throughout the park to identify safe and alternate access around the work area.
  • Landscape restoration will be done at the end of the project.
