Get Registration Ready with Recreation Nanaimo

Attend Launch Party on August 16

City of Nanaimo Parks & Recreation staff have been working behind the scenes to replace the current registration and facility booking software with a new system called Recreation Nanaimo. A more user and mobile friendly registration system, Recreation Nanaimo will go live on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in time for fall and winter program registration. On Thursday, August 16, residents are invited to attend a software launch celebration in the Beban Park Pool Lobby from 2-4 pm where staff will be available to assist and ensure user accounts are registration ready.

Elizabeth Williams, Manager Recreation Services, said "we are doing our best to ensure all our clients have their accounts set up properly and ready for registration, so the transition will go as smoothly as possible. If anyone is still unsure whether or not staff have transferred their information over or if they are to do it themselves, this is a great time to come in and get help in person."

Most Parks and Recreation clients will need to create a new account in the system. At the event there will be an opportunity to chat with Nanaimo Parks and Recreation staff, ask questions about setting up their new online registration account and pick up a copy of the new Fall and Winter Activity Guide.
