Phase 1 (Fourth Street: Harewood to Pine)

Phase 1 construction starts in January 2022, and is scheduled to be completed before summer 2022.

To assist with construction, a full road closure of Fourth Street, between Bruce Avenue and Pine Street, will be in effect from January 19, 2022 until construction works are completed. A detour using Fifth Street will be setup to direct traffic around the work zone.  The detour will be in place 24 hours a day until construction works are completed.  Access for local residents and businesses within the construction area will be provided.  See detour map below.

Every effort will be made to keep local disruptions to a minimum.  Construction signs will be posted and flag persons will be on duty to assist with the traffic flow.  Please exercise caution, obey all signage placed for your safety and follow the directions of the flag persons on duty.  If you have young children, please advise them of the dangers and limited visibility of heavy equipment and trucks.
