RBC Foundation Grant Awarded to Learn to Skate Program for Nanaimo Schools

Reduction of financial barriers allows more schools to join skating lessons

Summary

The City of Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Environment Department is pleased to have been awarded with a grant from the RBC Foundation and it's Learn to Play Program. The grant will assist in the development of the Learn to Skate program offered during the daytime hours to schools and preschool programs in the Nanaimo area.

Programmed lessons run in both the Beban Park and Nanaimo Ice Centre facilities from October to the end of March 2015.
