New rules for delegations
Delegations will have a new process for appearing at Committee of the Whole meetings.

Nuisance property
A property located at 5350 Metral Drive was declared a nuisance and authorized Staff to record and charge homeowner for municipal services.

Bylaw Enforcement Officers
Fire Inspectors and Fire Fighters have been appointed as Bylaw Enforcement Officers to enforce the “Fire Protection and Life Safety Regulations Bylaw 2011 No. 7108”.

Development around Nanaimo
The Revitalization Tax Exemption Agreement was revised to accommodate updated construction start dates for a proposed three-story hotel at 440 Selby Street.

Development variance permits were issued for 1 Port Drive, 4822 Whalley Way, 3712 Polaris Drive, 171 Calder Road.

Fence for swimming pool
A swimming pool located on the property of 3168 Uplands Drive has been ordered to put a fence around the pool within 30 days or remove the pool.

Bylaw Updates
Zoning Amendment Bylaws for 65 and 77 Chapel Street and 4525 and 4461 Wellington Road and Highway Closure and Dedication Removal bylaws for 400 Newcastle Ave and 897 Albert Street and 474 and 478 Pine Street were adopted.
