Westwood Lake remains closed for swimming until further notice

Public instructed to stay out of the water after more testing

Summary

Island Health has informed the City of Nanaimo that after a second test, the E-coli bacteria levels still exceed the allowable limit and swimming is not recommended due to poor water quality. Water testing will continue on a regular basis and updates will be provided to the public as test results are received.
