Harewood Centennial Park playground officially reopens

The City of Nanaimo, along with community partners, celebrated Phase 1 completion of the Harewood Centennial Park Improvement Plan in the park on Friday, July 10 with a ribbon cutting, cheque presentation of $15,000 towards park improvements from the Nanaimo Lions Club and a community get together.

Phase 1 improvements included a new destination playground, climbing wall renovations, utility upgrades, a mountain bike area and public access to 3 additional acres of parkland.
