Code of conduct signed
A new code of conduct has been adopted for Council with each member of Council showing their support by signing onto it.
Section 6 a

Waterfront walkway funding changes
A Federal Gas Tax grant contingent on three sections of the waterfront walkway being built will be resubmitted to reflect changes to the project where the Northfield Creek and boat basin sections will not have all approvals by the deadline of March 31, 2019. Funding for the walkway section along Front Street will be taken out of Council’s Strategic Infrastructure Reserve and, if changes to the application are approved, funding from the Gas Tax grant will be placed in the reserve.

Development around Nanaimo
A development permit was issued for 1228 Manzanita Place and an amendment to a covenant on title for 1371 Stewart Avenue will go to public hearing.

Mapping south fork/jump creek dams
Council endorsed an application for the Union of BC Municipalities Funding Program for Flood Risk Assessment, Mapping and Mitigation Planning to use for the South Fork and Jump Creek dams inundation mapping project. 
Section 10 d

AVICC resolutions
The City will submit five additional resolutions regarding cannabis and farm use practices, cannabis plants on agricultural land reserve, low impact foundation systems for farm use structures, retrofitting of structures to reduce impact of new construction and indoor agricultural fertilization practices to the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities annual convention.

Bylaw Updates
A highway closure and dedication removal bylaw for a portion of Labieux Road near 2560 Bowen Road and Housing agreement bylaws for 1406 Bowen Road and 548 Steeves Road were adopted.
