At approximately 1p.m. this afternoon (Monday, April 13) communication system maintenance being performed accidentally triggered the Colliery Dams evacuation siren. Residents are advised that the sounding of the siren was a false alert and that no action is required. Many forms of communication were utilized including social media and radio to advise residents.
