News Release: City Recognizes Excellence at Luncheon

The City of Nanaimo's Advisory Committee on Environment (ACE); Design Advisory Panel (DAP); Community Heritage Commission (CHC); and the Social Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC) presented awards of excellence at a recent luncheon on behalf of the City of Nanaimo to deserving organizations, companies and individuals. The purpose of the awards luncheon was to publicly recognize the dedication and hard work of the award recipients in the building design, social development, environmental and heritage fields over the past year. The event was hosted by Bruce Williams of the "A" Channel with the awards presented by Mayor John Ruttan.
The luncheon was held on May 20 at Oliver Woods Community Centre. Select images of the award recipients are attached for use by the local media.
