Nanaimo Fire Rescue Department's service to the public consists of more than just fighting fires and responding to emergency calls. We are made up of 5 divisions: Operations; Fire & Loss Prevention; Infomatics and Communication; Nanaimo Emergency Management; and Administration.
Sustainability at Nanaimo Fire Rescue
Nanaimo Fire Rescue is proud of our new LEED building, certified for its sustainable 'green' features. Fire Station 4 is located in South Nanaimo at 1425 Cranberry Road and opened in July of 2008. See the attached brochure for more details.
The Fire Service is heavily steeped in tradition and Nanaimo Fire Rescue is no different. From man-drawn hose reels to horse-drawn steam engines to motorized hose and chemical cars to today's engines, some complete with compressed air foam.
Please call Nanaimo Fire Rescue at (250) 753-7311 if you wish to set up a Fire Station tour.
