Erect a Sign

The City of Nanaimo regulates signage through Sign Bylaw No. 2850. This bylaw covers signage issues such as size, location, and style or type (painted, illuminated, banner, awning, billboard, etc.). A Sign Permit is required for the erection/construction/placement or alteration/relocation of most signs; however, there are exceptions, as noted in Section 6 of the Sign Bylaw.
