Council and the City of Nanaimo recognize the impact that health and housing challenges are having on our community, and that understanding is a key step in driving solutions forward. When it comes to addressing our current homelessness crisis, appropriate action is required of all levels of government. How issues are handled and what action is taken may differ based on the mandate of each ministry and government, but we are all working together for the common goal of improved community health and wellbeing.
