Reports

“Council Procedure Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2026 No. 7272.06” (a bylaw to provide clarity on responding to delegations and notices of motion and miscellaneous housekeeping amendments) passed three readings.
Section 12a

“Parks, Recreation and Culture Regulation Amendment Bylaw 2026 No. 7340.01” (a bylaw to include Nob Hill Park and Deverill Square Park in Schedule B and incorporate housekeeping amendments) passed three readings. The amendment bylaw serves to include Nob Hill Park and Deverill Square Park as locations where temporary shelter and overnight accommodation are prohibited.
Section 12b

Council endorsed the Climate Hazard Assessment and Mapping Project report and directed staff to include a project in the City’s 10-year Project Plan to update the Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Analysis, exploring grant opportunities to help offset associated costs. Information related to the project’s findings will be published on the City website and used to enhance community awareness and preparedness initiatives.
Section 12c

Council directed staff to allocate up to $550,000 for the construction of a recreational trail within the E&N railway corridor connecting Junction Avenue to Extension Road, including design work and the construction of rail crossings between Junction Avenue and the Parkway Trail, and between Thirteenth Street and the Parkway Trail.
Section 12d

Council directed staff to proceed with public notification prior to considering a covenant amendment application for 2137 Boundary Avenue, to allow up to four dwelling units on the property.

Council deferred a request for a letter of support from Seacliff Properties Ltd. (Sandstone) to a future Council meeting.

The Mayor, on behalf of Council, will be providing a letter of support to the Royal Canadian Legion Mount Benson Branch #256 for their application to host the Legion National Cribbage Championship 2028.
