Governance and Priorities Committee - April 29, 2019

Strategic Plan Update
An update on the draft Strategic Plan was provided and staff were directed to narrow down the key focus areas from 21 to approximately 10. The plan will be further refined and brought back to a future GPC meeting.

Committees, Task Forces and Engagement
A recommendation will be going to Council for the formation of an Environmental Committee, with a terms of reference to be determined after the staff presentation on environment happening May 13, 2019. Staff will also be providing a report on the grants approval process.

Transportation
A recommendation will be going to Council for the adoption of the Capital Project Management Policy, designed to establish a consistent approach for capital construction projects.
