Job Summary

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Stores Clerk. Under the general supervision of the Stores Supervisor, the Stores Clerk ships, receives, unpacks, inspects, stores, orders and issues a wide variety of materials, supplies, tools and equipment used in a Municipal operation.

Applicants must have completed Grade 12 and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving, including experience with a computerized inventory management system (e.g. SAP). An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Applicants must also possess a valid Forklift certificate, Propane Pump Attendant certificate, and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a unionized position.  $29.68 per hour - after Probation (Jul 2016 Rate), based on a 40 hour work week.  A comprehensive benefit package is included
