Job Summary
The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Police Support Clerk. Under the supervision of the Manager, Police Support Services, the incumbent provides administrative, financial, and clerical support to the Finance, Fleet, and Administrative Sections, and to the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee of the Nanaimo RCMP Detachment.

Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum 6 month Office Administration training program at an accredited educational institution (e.g. VIU or Sprott Shaw) and have a minimum of 1 year of clerical experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Attainment and maintenance of RCMP reliability/security clearance is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a unionized position. $33.27 per hour – after Probation (Jan 2020 Rate), based on a 35 hour work week. A comprehensive benefit package is included.
