Job Summary

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Manager, Facility Asset Planning. Under the general direction of the Director, Engineering, the incumbent is responsible for overall facility planning, asset management and energy management of civic facilities. The Manager, Facility Asset Planning coordinates with City departments in developing civic facility long range and capital plans in accordance with infrastructure requirements, City policy, environmental and safety legislation.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years’ related experience in the planning, design, project management, and construction of civic facilities is required including proven management supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is required as well as a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Compensation and Benefits
