Client Support Specialist

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Client Support Specialist. Under the direction of the Manager, IT Technical and Client Services, the incumbent provides computer support and problem resolution services to the organization.

Applicants must have a diploma in Information Technology and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in computer technology support in a corporate environment. Cisco CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is required along with a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a unionized position. $33.07 per hour - after Probation (Jan 2018 Rate), based on a 35 hour work week. The ability to work varied hours as necessary to meet the requirements of the position is required. A comprehensive benefit package is included.
