Clerk - Fire

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Clerk - Fire. Reporting to the Administrative Assistant, the incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to Nanaimo Fire Rescue.

Applicants must have completed grade 12, plus a minimum 6 month Applied Business Technology or Administrative Assistant training program at an accredited educational institution (e.g. VIU or Sprott Shaw) and have a minimum 1 year clerical experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a unionized position. $30.88 per hour - after Probation (Jan 2018 Rate), based on a 35 hour work week. A comprehensive benefit package is included.
