The City of Nanaimo is seeking a temporary full-time Applications Analyst. Under the direction of the Manager of Information Technology or work group supervisor, the Applications Analyst develops, designs, implements and supports the City’s mission critical business applications

Applicants must have completed a university degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, or directly-related area of study as well as a minimum of three (3) years experience in one of the areas of specialization: programming, geospatial(preferred), or databases(preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Applicants must also have possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a unionized position, $38.05 per hour - after Probation (Jul 2016 Rate), based on a 35-hour work week. A comprehensive benefit package is included. It is anticipated that this vacancy will be up to one year in duration.
