Neighbourhood Park Improvement
A recommendation will be going to Council to assign $25,000 from the 2019 Partners in Parks (PIP) Program for improvements, including installation of a playground, at the currently undeveloped Arbot 2 Neighbourhood Park site. A change of name from Arbot 2 Park to Royal Oak Park is also being recommended.

Community Grant
A recommendation will be going to Council to award a $6,350 grant to the Mid-Island Youth and Community Development Cooperative to assist in funding the Nanaimo Earth Day Social Enterprise Start-up.

Travel Policy
A report outlining updates to the City’s Travel Expense Policy was received for information, with some changes requested. The wording “when receipts are submitted” will be included under the definition of ineligible expenses and “non-alcoholic beverages” will be removed from section 5.5 of the policy.
