Park Ambassadors
What is the Park Ambassadors Program?
This program is intended to create awareness of the importance of practicing physical distancing while in the parks or on the trails, as well as other health-related actions that individuals can take to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
What is the Role of the Park Ambassadors?
- to educate the public about the importance of physical distancing
- to safety engage with the public and provide information and answer questions
- to report maintenance issues to parks operations for response and repair
- to clean and disinfect high touch areas in the parks
- to assist with minor parks maintenance duties, including invasive plant removal, litter clean up, minor graffiti removal and maintenance of signage, tape and barriers
What does Physical Distancing Look Like?
- groups are made up of only those living in the same household
- all park visitors must go to the edge of the trail and go single file when passing someone

- consider using parks and trails at less peak times of the day
- only come to the parks and trails when you are well
