Arbutus Park—This park has several fruit trees that are a remnant from an former homestead. Food security has been a recurring theme through the REIMAGINE Nanaimo process, and the City is looking at integrating community gardening, food forests and other forms of food production in public spaces in practical and creative ways. There are currently five community gardens and four food forests on City-owned land.
