Marine Festival

To help with parking demand downtown and give options for alternate forms of transportation, this year's Marine Festival has FREE bus shuttles provided by the Regional District of Nanaimo! The shuttles will start from Vancouver Island University (VIU) and Woodgrove Centre to Maffeo Sutton Park and run from 9am - 5pm. There will also be a FREE bike valet provided by Capital Bikes in the parking lot of Maffeo Sutton Park from 9am - 5pm.

VIU (Free parking available in parking lot N, shuttle pick-up and drop-off is located at the VIU bus loop) 

Woodgrove Centre (Parking available behind Walmart in the far right corner, shuttle pick-up and drop-off located at the Woodgrove Centre bus exchange)

Please be aware that during the morning hours of this event shuttles will be dropping off and picking up in Maffeo Sutton Park. Shuttles will return to their regular drop off and pick up location on Comox and Terminal in the afternoon. 

FREE Bike Valet (9am - 5pm)

This year the City of Nanaimo has partnered with BEST and Capital Bike to encourage community members to use sustainable methods of transportation to get to special events throughout the summer.
