Accounts Payable Payments Via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Payments between the City of Nanaimo and its vendors can now be completed electronically.

This new service will reduce the possibility of fraud from lost or misdirected cheques and eliminate the uncertainties associated with the timing of payments being received through the mail.

To Apply for Electronic Funds Transfer Payments

To apply for EFT payments, complete and sign the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorization form and follow the instructions on the form to return to us.  Make sure to include a void cheque or deposit slip with your submission.

When payments are processed, a payment advice slip will be automatically e-mailed to the address that was specified on the EFT form, and will outline all of the invoices included in the payment and any discounts when applicable. 

If bank account your email address changes, you will need to inform the City of Nanaimo Accounting Services department of the change immediately.

This new payment system will provide improved service to our vendors, while also reducing our impact on the environment.
