Fire Prevention Week October 3-9 Graphic

Fire Prevention Week

This year, Fire Prevention Week™ runs from October 9 to 15 and the theme is "Fire won't wait. Plan your escape.TM" You may have as little as two minutes (or even less time) to safely escape a home fire from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Your ability to get out of a home during a fire depends on early warning from smoke alarms and advance planning. Visit the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) official Fire Prevention Week website for tons of great information, activities, ideas, resources and more!

Take a moment to watch this Fire Safety House video with your kids so they can help make a fire escape plan with you.
