Review established as number one Council priority for 2015

Summary

Following an unanimous vote in favour, last night Nanaimo City Council agreed with a motion put forward by Mayor Bill McKay to proceed with a core review of the City's services and operations. As a first step in the process, a consultant will be retained to, 1) assist Council in creating a project charter; and 2) guide Councillors in the development of a terms of reference, following which a tender to complete the core review will be issued. A core review committee, comprised of all members of Council and chaired by the Mayor, will guide the development and implementation of the review.
