Economic Development Strategic Planning Committee now accepting applications

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is seeking applications from exemplary leaders in our community to actively participate in a new Economic Development Strategic Planning Committee (EDSPC). Chaired by the Mayor, the focus of the EDSPC will be to come up with a new economic development strategy for Nanaimo and provide recommendations and report to Council at the conclusion of their work.

Individuals wishing to be considered for this committee are invited to outline how they can contribute towards the creation of a new economic development strategy for the City of Nanaimo by downloading and completing the application form located here: www.nanaimo.ca.

The City is specifically interested in representation from the following sectors: transportation and warehousing, construction, health care, tourism, labour market, manufacturing, renewable energy, education, technology and commercial real estate.
