Solid waste collections cancelled due to road conditions

Summary

The City of Nanaimo has temporarily suspended collection of garbage, recycling and kitchen waste due to the high risk of injury from ice and snow conditions.

Residents are asked to bring in their garbage, recycling and kitchen waste for the time being. Please check the City website (www.nanaimo.ca) and social media accounts for continued updates.

All curbside collection services will resume as soon as conditions improve.
The City apologizes for the inconvenience and would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding.
Public Works is currently receiving high call volumes, please only make a call if the matter is urgent.
