Short Videos Feature a "Seagull Eye" Aerial View of Nanaimo's Heritage Buildings

Videos Provide a New Perspective on Downtown's Built Heritage

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is releasing a series of ten short videos through its website, YouTube channel and Facebook page featuring a "Seagull Eye" aerial view of Nanaimo's heritage buildings. The videos are intended to promote awareness of Nanaimo's built heritage with each building being featured from an unique aerial perspective.

Produced by Arrowsmith Aerial Photography for the City of Nanaimo, each video is approximately 60 seconds long. A new video in the series will be released every two weeks, starting November 4th and ending March 10th, in the following sequence:

  2. Great National Land Building (5-17 Church Street)
  3. Nanaimo Court House (31-35 Front Street)
  4. Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway Station (321 Selby Street)
  5. Earl Block (2-4 Church Street)
  6. Nanaimo City Hall (455 Wallace Street)
  7. Ashlar Lodge Masonic Temple (101 Commercial Street)
  8. Globe Hotel (25 Front Street)
  9. Nanaimo Fire Hall No. 2 (34 Nicol Street)
  10. St. Andrew's United Church (315 Fitzwilliam Street)
