Sixth exciting season of Lions free skates start Sunday, September 18
Lions Club of Nanaimo once again brings free skating fun to Frank Crane Arena

Summary
The Lions Club of Nanaimo will once again be hosting free everyone welcome skate sessions on Sundays starting September 18 through March 26, 2017. This valued project continues the long tradition of the Lions Club volunteer service to the community of Nanaimo.
Over the past three seasons over 17,000 Nanaimo residents have taken advantage of this opportunity for free skating with family and friends. Last year alone was a record high of 6,400 visits.
The City of Nanaimo, Lions Club of Nanaimo and Save-On-Foods are pleased to sponsor these family fun sessions along with other community partners Alexandra’s Bistro, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Haarsma Waste Innovations, Herold Engineering, Little Valley Restoration & Collision, Ltd., Chris Martin Personal Real Estate Corp. - RE/MAX of Nanaimo, Nanaimo Hearing Clinic, Roto Rooter Sewer & Drain Cleaning Services, Widsten Property Management. This year we welcome on new sponsor; Scotiabank Downtown Nanaimo Employees.

Key Points
- Lions Free Skates run from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Sundays in Frank Crane Arena. On Nanaimo Clippers Junior 'A' game days, the skates will run from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm.
- This is the sixth season of continuous support from the Lions Club and Save On Foods.
