Public input sought on improvement concept in central Beban Park

Summary

Residents wishing to share their input on an improvement concept for the central portion of Beban Park can do so at an upcoming open house. Based on the shared vision of six participating community organizations, the proposed concept creates a central gathering and recreation hub that incorporates multi-use facilities with improved pedestrian, cycling and vehicle accessibility and connectivity.

The open house will be held August 10 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm next to the Bowen Road Farmer's Market (2300 Bowen Road). Residents are encouraged to stop by to share their thoughts and ideas.

Quotes

"When the Beban Master Plan was adopted last year, working with community groups to create flexible spaces in the park for a variety of uses was a priority. I'm please to see these groups working together to make our park better for everyone to enjoy."

Councillor

"A lot of effort was made on behalf of these groups and City staff to develop this concept for the central area of Beban Park. The City is looking forward to hearing from the public what they think."
