Celebrating the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage on April 13, 2016

Summary

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, the City of Nanaimo will recognize the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage with the 2016 Culture & Heritage Awards Ceremony. The ceremony, an evening of recognition and local entertainment, will be held in the Port Theatre at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) to honour the following recipients:

*EMERGING CULTURAL LEADER - Alyssa Glassford *HONOUR IN CULTURE - Debbie Trueman *EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE - Susan Juby *JOHN THOMSON HERITAGE MEMORIAL - John Hofman

There will be performances by:

*VIBRANT DANCE STUDIO *BRIGADOON DANCE ACADEMY *M.E.M. DANCE COMPANY *NANAIMO'S POET LAUREATE *THE FOOTPRINTS OF THE WOLF *WELLINGTON JAZZ BAND *IAN PERRY
