Summary
On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, the City of Nanaimo will recognize the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage with the 2016 Culture & Heritage Awards Ceremony. The ceremony, an evening of recognition and local entertainment, will be held in the Port Theatre at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) to honour the following recipients:
*EMERGING CULTURAL LEADER - Alyssa Glassford *HONOUR IN CULTURE - Debbie Trueman *EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE - Susan Juby *JOHN THOMSON HERITAGE MEMORIAL - John Hofman
There will be performances by:
*VIBRANT DANCE STUDIO *BRIGADOON DANCE ACADEMY *M.E.M. DANCE COMPANY *NANAIMO'S POET LAUREATE *THE FOOTPRINTS OF THE WOLF *WELLINGTON JAZZ BAND
