City seeks participants for Nanaimo's 2015 PARK(ing) Day

Summary

The City of Nanaimo’s Culture and Heritage Department invites you to "PARK it" on Friday, September 18 for the 2015 PARK(ing) Day. An annual open-source global event, Nanaimo's 2015 PARK(ing) Day transforms a limited number of select parking spaces along Commercial Street into temporary short-term mini cultural spaces. Anyone (organizations, groups, friends or families) interested in participating are encourage to take par. Spaces are limited so sign up today and begin planning your exciting temporary cultural space.

Participants are asked to submit a proposal by August 18th highlighting their space design, theme and programming. With a limited number of spaces available, proposals will be viewed by a selection panel and only those chosen designs will have the opportunity to participate in the 2015 event. Each space is encouraged to be creative and must transform the parking space into something positive and unique for the community.
